Awesome to be liked Doodoo.  The "core" Sonic fan seems to be the dude who just cares about the original 2D games, and deems everything else a failure. Now, granted, the 2D titles WERE the best of the series, but that's not to say that everything from 1999 on failed. Actually, far from it. And things seem to be improving all the time too, what with Needlemouse and all. |

Oh HELL no. SA2 wasn't even the best of the 3D series, let alone the series as a whole. It's a great game, but it's still overrated as fuck. |

now, now we all know that with the way these franchises are going nowadays the older a game gets the better it gets... that just because the new games get worse and worse (for the most part, there are exceptions) the only way that the new games seem better is the same way people are happy when gas prices go down, they're not as good as they were before, but at least it doesn't feel like you just got rapped for your money. |

Now obviously the newer games aren't going to be as amazing as the original. The 2D Sonic formula is something that just can't be replicated in 3D. Hence the point of the topic, it'll be interesting to see how Needlemouse will be played, for that could totally make the difference between replication and just another 3D Sonic. |

i thought this one wasn't in 3D... oh well I still say a 2.5D Sonic game (like sonic rush in graphics style) would be cool on a console the thing about the 3D sonic, or atleast the ones i have played it feels like you are still on a track, and there isn't too much freedom |

Is now Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. 2.5D. Only Sonic and Robotnik are included. Old-school gameplay and enemies. Wiiware. Is about to have a nerdgasm. |
