E3 did pretty much the same thing on all three fronts: it delivered. It was really just solid all around. Nothing OMFGSPECTACULAR or anything, but still very much solid. |

only answering this post atm yeah it could, but won't look at what microsoft has at the moment, the will not throw it out the window to try to compete in a market that only ninty is in. they will use this for good thing, my suggestion to anyone is to get a 360 they look like they're going to be around for a while. |

double post, sorry i have been busy, just replying no, making unholy amounts of money is smart, literally abandoning they're previous fans not so much, the only nintendo thing that I currently play on any sort of basis is my DS Edit instead of triple post: Couple more things i saw: GTA4: The ballad of gay tony Left 4 Dead 2 looking forward to both of these as well as the new dashboard looks cool, as well as i was skeptical at first, but it looks like someone has finally done something good with nintendo's idea. I know that some of you may still think that nintendo has a hope, but getting a 360 will open your eyes to the fact that you can actually have fun playing games online, and with people that aren't right next to you. They announced Zelda Wii today. No real details yet, but it'll use TP's same style, so we can expect it to be set in the same time period/location. |

News of a new Zelda is cool indeed. I dunno if it should neccessarily come out in 2010 though; Ninty already has Galaxy 2 and Other M slated for 2010, and we saw what happened the last time Ninty went all out all at once. Needless to say, it brought us to a DROUGHT. So Ninty could take its time on the new Zelda for all I care. Xan- Won't throw the 360 out the window to compete with Wii? They're already doing it. Avatars = Miis. Natal = Wii Remote. And it's not as if they've been doing orgasmic in the game department as of recent times either (granted, better than Wii, but still not quite their peak). So it's already happening. As for Ninty, two things. First, they obviously proved our whole "they ditched us!" thing we've (Ninty fans as a whole) had going on wrong yesterday. Second, even if they didn't, what do they care? They're a COMPANY. They're in it for the MONEY. Edited by Troy, Jun 3 2009, 05:20 PM.

First, brought us to a game drought? unless your a camel my friend I'd say a half a year is a good drought, and it has been over a year. Oh yeah i know that Microsoft is beginning to basically copy Nintendo (avatar thing mostly in this case considering the look exactly the same except M$ gave them clothes and more options for accessories, and imo besides making them look exactly like you M$ did a better job of it (even though i know they do look like clones of Mii's with actual limbs and clothes)). As for Natal, I say pfft Nintendo is coming out with a device that is boasting 1:1 movement ratio, I am pretty sure that that will be better than anything some camera can do (at the moment atleast). Points to Nintendo on motion control dominance, but I am going to have to say that M$ did a better job on the whole avatar thing. Over the past few days Nintendo has restored a fair bit of my faith in them, I mean the only way they can make the online part of they're system better is to offer the whole social part of video games to online play. Regardless Nintendo has some pretty cool games coming up on the horizon, and even though they do seem pretty far of games like Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. I think i am willing to wait for. Wii motion plus looks good, and Zelda sounds promising. All of the things i mentioned in the previous paragraph as well as Metriod are all very good looking games to me, and I will most likely end up getting most of them. As a whole it seems Nintendo has not completely forgotten us, only not done much for us in the last while. I am happy with E3 overall this year, and really Nintendo has shown me that the only thing to be disappointed with them is their online play. |

Funny thing is... no one has mentioned this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th8_zKa0DKk It's kinda goofy looking, but it's onlly a prototype. And it seems to offer motion detection that is better, if not as good as Wii motion plus. AND you can use two of them together, which is what I have always wanted some WIi game to incorporate. Arguing over which control system is better at this stage is silly. None of us have had the chance to try out any of them. Natal, motion plus, or PS3's offering. I just think that Nintendo pulled the motion control out too soon. I'm not sure the technology was quite there when they announced it, forcing them to upgrade, while the other companies could look and say "hey... that looks like a good idea... let's do that, but BETTER." In my opinion, this will probably leave Nintendo in the wake of the other two companies. Mainly because the other two have the choice of using their complex controllers for hardcore games, or their motion controllers for slightly softer games. Nintendo don;t have that option. It is my prediction that the other two companies will begin raking in vast amounts of money, and while Nintendo will still probably win this console war (I think it's allready won lol) it won't be close. |
