-Very friendly staff and members
-Excellent discussion of Nintendo and more
-We're the forum that created Smash Camp
-Special events during holidays such as Halloween and New Year's, as well as for major game releases
-A weekly Wi-Fi Game Night, where you can practice Wi-Fi games with other members
-Editing ability, right from the start
-An IRC chat with Trivia nights
-Many ways to advertise your sites, such as affiliates, an advertising board, banner ads, and ads on our newsletter

Monetarily, not at all. The hack was going to be released only as a patch, and it was to be distributed totally free of charge. The site running the project doesn't accept any donations nor do they have any ads. The whole thing was not-for-profit.
then really i dont see how SE can really do too much about it, I'd have to agree that they are just being real idiots about this, there are alot of things out there that you can get that are knock offs, and this is also non-profit, so i don't see whats wrong... besides the obvious copyrights on the characters
