I was at Best Buy today buying a headset, and when I went to the checkout counter, I noticed a bunch of DS games on a shelf. Two games, I saw, particularly interested me, so I took a picture of them: http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt192/NeodPhil/utf-8BSU1HMDAxNjIuanBn.jpg (linked because of major screen stretch) That's right, those are M&Ms games. Even a candy has its own video game. Discuss. Edited by StavrosMike, Mar 16 2009, 05:15 PM.

Baby, wait, I didn't mean to say "nightmare"!

Casual =/= branded Branded =/= bad Casual =/= bad Nothing wrong with a game that's fun without dedicating hours to it. That said, the M&Ms games are probably bad. Which is sad, too. M&Ms would lend themselves to a decent tile puzzler. XD |

I never said it was bad, I just thought it interesting that games are getting so casual, there's even one for a candy. |

I've seen vids of the kart one. Poops and actual footage. Both hilarious. Either way, it is kinda sad, but they're only $15, and considering the sucky hilarity, it's probably worth it. |

wouldn't call it casual at all, they've had product placement games for years, these are just regular examples of them... |

I don't think there is anything wrong with releasing casual games. It's when casual games are the only type of games they release that it becomes a problem. |

Sadly, that's what is happening to games these days. Although Brawl and Mario Kart are exceptions. In fact, with all the new features in those games, things are so chaotic I'd have to say they're the farthest thing from casual. |
